I got signed on to the management programme!!!!! I know, crazy huh? Lol, it's marvellous though. There were three of us going for sign on and all three of us got it. That last statement makes it all sound very easy, but rest assured, it is not! We (another young woman from our store and I) have been prepping (?) for 7/8weeks now and we've had 2hr mtgs every week to do so. I was soooooooooo nervous! I had calms for my breakfast and my lunch, and possibly some in between! Plus, as I had to do my shift before I went I was up from 4:20am so had to have tons red bull (I know how ungood for you it is!) to stay awake.
Anyway, to get signed on you have to have a 1-2-1 interview, to role play scenarios, a day planner task and a group discussion which all in all lasts for 4hrs (Yeah, I was almost beat, even with the red bull!) All of these were also with managers that I had never met before and any of you that know me well know that I don't do well talking to people I don't know so it all turned out to be quite the ordeal. However, to cut a long story short, it worked out and I'm in:} I'm mightily chuffed, to say the least.
Anyway, that was on Wednesday and that turned out to be a fantastic day...
In my last post I wrote about having an uncle and a cousin both in the army. Well, no one in the family has really heard from them in the last 5yrs. So, I started searching through website such as forcesreunited.com, militarymapper.com and others but had no luck. So, I thought I would type my cousins name into FB even though I have already done this a couple of times and nothing came back. Guess what???? I found him!!!!! How amazing is that? I was so happy with the day and so grateful for the ten million blessings I have received this week!
