I heard the bells on Christmas day

I heard the bells on Christmas day
Their old familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet the words repeat
Of peace on earth, good will to men.

I thought how, as the day had come,
The belfries of all Christendom
Had rolled along th'unbroken song
Of peace on earth, good will to men.

Till ringing, singing on its way
The world revolved from night to day,
A voice, a chime, a chant sublime
Of peace on earth, good will to men.

And in despair I bowed my head
“There is no peace on earth,” I said,
“For hate is strong and mocks the song
Of peace on earth, good will to men.”

Then pealed the bells more loud and deep:
“God is not dead, nor doth He sleep;
The wrong shall fail, the right prevail
With peace on earth, good will to men.”

(My favourite Christmas hymn.)

Oh. My. Gosh!

9 MORE SLEEPS! Then Santa will be here... I can barely sleep though, thats the point! I am sooooooooooo excited! I love the feel of Christmas, I love the smell of Christmas, I love the happiness of Christmas but most importantly... I love the reason for Christmas! It is becoming more apparent to me the true meaning of everything in my life and the reason that it is with me. I am starting to understand more than ever that it is more the giving than the receiving that counts, more the love and care for family and friends than the quantity of christmas cards to adorn my walls with and more my loved ones around me than my exciting, shiny presents (most of which I will probably never used as I will be either on a diet or allergic to whatever it is! hehe)

So, once again I am very excited. I am ready to learn the lessons that lie ahead of me this year and to be strengthened by them:)

Merry christmas, almost!!

Hey...

Good afternoon. We've not written for a while, nothing has happened! Seriously! We didn't even get to go to General Conference this weekend since Dave has an eye infection and because of the eye drops that the Dr has given him he can't drive. Since attending General Conference means traveling on the motorway I couldn't drive there either:( Not good. So, now I have to lock myself away so that I can watch it online... That should be fun!

Dave is OK though. He is enjoying the attention, methinks:) He loves the fact that he has a hospital appointment tomorrow so has to see a specialist. He is a 'special' boy after all, lol:) Don;t worry, it's him that says it, not me! I'm not a mean wife.

Anyway, just thought I would let you all know that we are still alive and very much still in existence.

Christmas is only 11 weeks away, WooT WooT!
